I went to Noank for Easter this year because I wanted to, but it may not have been the best idea just because it sort of got crammed sideways into my weekend and didn't quite fit there. But if I hadn't gone, I would have missed my favorite aunt and uncle and an excellent lasagna.

My aunt with early onset Alzheimer's was there too. My uncle drove their RV down and they slept in it in the driveway on Saturday night. The earlier you get Alzheimer's, the faster you deteriorate; my aunt is 56 and can't feed herself or follow a conversation. But she tries, by repeating anything anyone just said. It was hard to see, but I have nothing really to complain about because my uncle has to cope with it every day. I hope he has some sort of outlet somewhere so if he needs to go hit walls (although he isn't that sort of person) and holler about how unfair it is, he can do that.

Still waiting for spring. I would really like to be able to ignore all my sweaters and stop wearing heavy wool socks.

ODE is turning into a maternity ward again. The Director of Student Services and one of the Senior Tutors are both having their second kid this fall. Better this year than last year when we had the site visit in the fall, for sure.
