Aug. 30th, 2018 10:28 amThis hasn't been my favorite week ever. Yesterday it was 95 and humid. Today it's 85 and more humid, which was actually worse this morning. And Lily's got early-stage kidney disease, which might be bad enough to keep her from becoming a Radioactive Cat. I'm waiting to hear from Dr. D, who has more experience balancing thyroids and kidneys and can tell me whether Radioactive Cat is possible.
And I have inherited the CODA surveys, which are an annual five-part massive pain in the ass with four different deadlines. Fortunately one part is due before the person who's usually in charge goes on maternity leave; unfortunately it's only the information about the school's and the university's leadership, which amounts to about two pages. Then there's the patient information part, the admissions and tuition part, the curriculum part, and the financial management part. Which are due in that order. GROWF.
However, the humidity and the temperature are supposed to be better over the weekend. I plan to spend some of Saturday consuming a beer and being glad I'm not driving amongst the throng of moving trucks driven by people who should not drive anything bigger than a Corolla (and I include myself in that category, by the way). Walking amongst the throng of moving trucks is bad enough, because they run lights and park on the sidewalk.
Hm. Either it's getting slightly better out and the A/C in here has caught up, or they've finally said To hell with it and cranked the A/C up enough to deal with it being swampy in here. Now if it would just stay that way until the end of tomorrow...and why am I coming to work tomorrow in the first place? Right, the CODA surveys. The next of which (after next Friday) is due on October 5.
