Sep. 10th, 2018 10:36 amLast night I finished Pool 3 in the allotted time and got through most of Pool 4, except for the deep-water messing around. My left ear didn't like being 12 feet deep, so I called off the "descend 12 feet and mess around with equipment" exercise when we came back up from the "descend 12 feet and swim around on the bottom" exercise. So next week I do Pool 4 and 5. I'm not going to get through this in time to do the ocean dives up here over Columbus Day weekend, so I guess I had better look for a referral site somewhere warm.
Speaking of somewhere warm, wetsuit purchase on hold until I figure out whether I want a 3mm or 5mm and a vest, or a 7mm, or a 3/5 and a 7. I don't know whether more layers are worth the hassle of putting them on.
Last night at least was excellent sleeping weather, with a quilt on the bed, even. One of my favorite sensations is lying in bed with enough covers on and feeling myself warm up after I've been lying there being cold. That's about the only time I do warm up once I get cold. I didn't get quite enough sleep, but I never do when it's scuba night anyway. At least today nothing hurts enough to do anything about, even though I'm stiff all over.
Damn, I forgot I had errands to do tonight. The question is, since both of them are on the 66, do I want to make my life more difficult by trying to go to the TJ's in Coolidge Corner, which has been out of everything I personally want for two weeks, or do I just give up and go to the one on Western Ave which is further out of the way, but might actually have unsalted almonds and tea and lemon ginger water? I don't know, right now, and I'm still stiff all over and it's four and a half hours after I started writing this.
