The French word for "supermodel" is a masculine noun. (Name me one male supermodel?)

[EDIT: I forgot this one. There is no concept in French for "peer pressure", because French teenagers are fierce individualists. I mentioned peer pressure in class last week and had to explain it afterward. There's no such thing as multiple choice exams in France either.]

There are definite degrees of doing nothing, from "doing something nonessential to avoid doing something essential" to "not having anything essential to do, so doing whatever" to "not even bothering to get dressed, if you bother to get out of bed at all". I spent yesterday cooking in order to avoid working on anything academic.

Happy May Day.

He was the only one I could think of, and even that took me a while.

the real question is, are there french words for those degrees of doing nothing?

I admit to being skeptical about why there's no word for peer pressure in French!
