I, because I am bizarre, am sitting here in the dark watching a thunderstorm. I heard the wind kick up, and looked out the window and saw it getting very dark a lot faster than usual. The daily thunderstorm is REALLY late today. (My computer is plugged into a surge suppressor.)

My family is here, in Ohio. They went off to a hotel in Streetsboro about half an hour before the storm front got here. We all went to the graduating translation students' reception this afternoon, following which we went off to dinner at the Italian restaurant. I had veal with lemon and white wine sauce and mushrooms, and I don't usually like veal, but this was good. (So why did I order veal in the first place, I wonder? Oh well, it turned out fine.)

I have to get up a lot earlier than usual tomorrow so I can go stand in line for about three hours in the name of graduation. At least the thunderstorm and the concurrent pouring rain are keeping the undergrad parties indoors for the moment. I might even get some sleep tonight. I wish the ridiculous sleeves on my Master's gown were configured so I could keep a book in them.

I discovered that the Russian professor who read my case study is taking the ATA exam in June too. I guess we can commiserate, or something.

If I had somebody here to be silly with, I'd go outdoors and stand in the rain, just because I can.

I love watching thunderstorms. Sometimes I go out and stand in the rain during them, too. :)

I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one who does that.
