dchenesIt is now 5:00. Since noon I've been to Arlington and back and to the grocery store and back. Since I got up this morning I have ingested one cup of coffee and most of a liter of seltzer. Not the smartest thing I've ever done, but I wasn't hungry, so I didn't eat. It's catching up with me now, though; the groceries weighed quite a lot (I bought a lot of liquid) and even though they were in a cart, I still had to haul the cart home uphill.
However, I accomplished a fair bit today. In Arlington I bought supplies for the next stitching project (which I shouldn't have done, but which made me feel better). I took the train to Park Street, went to Filene's and bought enough underwear to get me through to the weekend (shoulda done laundry last weekend, and I hate hand washing), got a call from the temp agency, called my former boss at Tufts (didn't actually talk to him) to get him to call somebody who's checking references as a result of the interview I had last week, came home, went off to the grocery store and finally did the post-moving-in shopping I'd been putting off. That cost more than I wanted it to, but it was necessary. Now I can clean this place properly before Saturday and feed whoever shows up on Saturday.
