Good stuff: Last night I had a flying dream. This one was a little different than usual; I was wearing a cloak or something and the wind caught it, and I discovered I could use it to lift myself off the ground and fly. Usually in flying dreams, I start running and then notice I'm not running on the ground any more. I didn't realize it was a flying dream until I was thinking about it this morning, because it morphed into something else involving a tornado and a power outage and a train station and my high school marching band.
In the mail today was a check from the phone company in Ohio, because they overcharged me for August.
Not-so-good stuff: I got official notice of failing the ATA exam. In order to pass it, you need a score under 17 points; I ended up with something between 35 and 46. At least I didn't end up at 46+, which means they stopped counting. I'll take the exam again next year, but after that I'm not going to bother.
I still want my $86 from Time Warner Cable, but I have no desire to sit on hold for several hours while they try to get me to give up and go away. I wonder how much money they make off people deciding it's not worth the hassle? It galls me slightly to be one of them, because I could definitely use the $86, but on the other hand it's "only" $86, and my phone bill would probably be most of that if I tried to get them to send me a check.
Right. Never mind. Not worth being annoyed about; either they send it or they don't, and I have bigger things to deal with anyway.
