Apparently Crimson Language Services is looking for linguistic QA reviewers in Brookline again. Hopefully now that I'm a Massachusetts resident, they'd consider me.
Anybody out there want to help me write a cover letter? I hate them, which means I don't write them very well, which probably means they get circular-filed.
The neck muscle that cramped yesterday, which is one of the big ones that holds my head upright on my shoulders. is sore again today. I think a professional massage is going at the top of the Rampant Materialism list, which means it might happen in January.
About the Rampant Materialism list: I'm trying to decide what "solvent" means. Right now it means I can pay bills and rent for the upcoming month, before the upcoming month actually arrives. That's where I am now, but I won't be there for long after this job ends (probably in two weeks or so). Because I have no income security, I have to remember that I can't indulge myself very much. (Also known as No, you are not going out for dinner, you're going out later this week, and you have food at home anyway. And No, you are not buying any more brand new books (and shame on you for buying one two weeks ago.) Wait for it to show up used, or wait for a library to have it available, or sit down in the bookstore and skim it.) I'm allowing myself to buy coffee in the morning, although I should probably stop that in the interests of not drinking so much coffee in the first place.
It sort of amuses me that my father forgot that we said I would start paying my parents back in November. You'd think since I owe them a LOT of money, he'd remember. Then again, he's not as worried about it as I am.

Coffee...
Date: 2005-09-29 09:00 am (UTC)I do this occasionally when I'm at home on weekends; my office space has a free coffee service that's really awesome. DD and SB are way, way too pricey, though... since it costs them something in the realm of a quarter all-inclusive to fill the cup for which you just paid $2.50. ;D
