There is, in fact, an easier way to get to where I was going yesterday. It involves walking up Huntington Ave, which I didn't think of yesterday because I wasn't sure how all that stuff back there connected to anything I did know.

Apparently now that Fleet is Bank of America, you can't buy stamps from ATMs any more. That's less convenient than it could be, and I'm still out of stamps.

Speaking of buying stamps, some day somebody should invent a vending machine that can give back $1 bills by way of change. (Sounds like a million-dollar idea to me; too bad I don't have the skills to invent one, considering how much complaining goes on when people get $1 coins in change from post office or T token vending machines.)

I keep seeing leaves blowing around out of the corner of my eye and thinking they're butterflies. I think it's something about the shape of the leaves and how they move in whatever odd air currents I've got over my back porch.

I have seen places that dispense cash in change. Self-checkouts in grocery stores use them (I just did that yesterday at my local Albertson's). Also, casinos in Las Vegas now have ticket changers that dispense cash (or even breaks change down).

You can purchase stamps from usps.gov; wasn't sure if you were aware of that.
