Having staff meetings on Fridays is good, in that it gets us all on the same page. However, I always come out of said meetings wanting to go home, because the to-do lists these meetings generate are fairly impressive. Some day I'll have to sit down and work out just exactly what I'm in charge of, what I have to keep one eye on, and what I can keep half an eye on.

So far I'm in charge of:

-Final executive committee meetings
-Final search review committee meetings
-The reports generated by those meetings
-Assembling, copying and mailing SOP packets
-All other documents for the actual SOP meeting (agendas, votesheets, review reports)
-Governing Boards packets
-Financial Services packets
-Preparing files for the archives
-Updating the committee status database

I can keep one eye on:

-The status of committees before final meetings
-The process of inviting people to be on committees
-Half-formed committees

I can keep half an eye on:

-CAD meetings
-P&R meetings and their associated stuff
-Searches and committees that are on hold

I should think that's quite enough to be going on with, especially because it's all going on at the same time.

Damn it, I forgot the dry cleaning again! I was too busy paying bills before I left this morning.
