I still haven't decided whether or not I'm going to Arisia. Part of me wants to go on Saturday night for the masquerade, part of me wants to go on Saturday afternoon so I can find a rubber duckie and then go to the masquerade, and part of me wants to not think about it and stay home and do errands and stuff. Since I don't have a hotel room, I have to either go home immediately after the masquerade or throw myself on the mercies of somebody with floor space to crash on. The idea of sleeping on somebody's floor doesn't thrill me all that much, though. (And can I afford to pay for both crash space and admission?)

So, is it worth the price of admission for Saturday if I'm only there from, say, 3:00 until the end of the masquerade? This is what the part of my brain that wants to stay home keeps asking, and at this point, I think the answer is No.

Maybe next year I'll be in better shape brain-wise and bank-account-wise.

Consider ghosting. (AKA being at the park plaza hotel but not being there for the convention just to see people and to socialize.) Or asking someone you know to get you a single day admission. You know its possible and that it would be really easy considering who you know. If you want to go on Saturday for all or part of the day, don't let the price of admissions be the deciding factor. That can be resolved and I would be happy to help you handle it as would other friends. Also, Matt and I are staying at home, so if you want to come to the convention, stay late, and then get a ride home from us when we are ready to go, we could give you a lift.
