Life has slowed down enough that I'm writing for pleasure again occasionally. What I write probably isn't any good, but it amuses me, so it works.

Work has slowed down enough that today is as close to a lull as I've had in three months. I've been catching up with my committee meeting paperwork, and printing tab dividers for meeting packets, and yesterday I went through two feet of files sitting on the floor behind me and confirmed that I didn't need any of that stuff, and recycled it. I still have a foot and a half or so of files from February and March on my desk that I'd love to get rid of (I'm waiting for two letters each for fourteen files), and another foot of files on one of my shelves that came from the meeting on Tuesday, but I know what's in what pile, and I know I need all of it.

This morning I finally got the committee I'd rescheduled twice out of my hair. Somebody got leaned on a bit, I think, and agreed that they could possibly meet in April. So April it is, and I can get that packet off my desk tomorrow or Monday.

There's a daffodil sitting in my pencil cup, because my officemates are silly. I was sitting here minding my own business, and K walked up and stuck a daffodil in my pencil cup. Apparently I needed one.

It really feels like a Friday, but it isn't.

Agreed on the feeling like Friday part.... I'm in the back of a limousine, almost home after having been stuck in Chicago for the week. I'm hoping to pull a work-from-home tomorrow, because bluntly, I'm mentally wiped from this week.

There's a reason I don't tend to be the one set in front of customers... despite my charming exterior, I have a really, really tough time sugar-coating bad news. The past two days have been that. ;D

At least there wasn't six feet of snow in Chicago last week.

Good luck with the working from home. Some days I wish I could do that.
