Friday is good.
This weekend I have to:
Do laundry
Go buy one pair of new jeans
Cook some of the stuff in the fridge
Throw out some of the rest of the stuff in the fridge
Pay a couple of bills
This weekend I want to:
Practice the trombone
Start a new Civ III game
Sleep in at least once
Go out for breakfast somewhere, maybe
Work-wise, I can’t wait for May to be over. It seems that everybody I need to get ahold of is going out of the country in May, which is playing hell with my committee meetings. That means the SOP agenda in June keeps getting thinner, and the agenda in July is getting top-heavy.
On my way up Gardner St. on Wednesday night, I saw a pair of black kittens with the skinny little tuxedo cat I hadn’t seen since last fall. I’m glad she (I would assume it’s a she) made it through the winter. Some day I’ll have cats again.
I think the trash pile in front of the neighbor’s house is approaching sentience. This is the second or third time they’ve had a pile that big sitting there for most of a week. It looks like they’re cleaning out a basement that had stuff in it all the way up to the rafters. The trash pile is taller than me, and wide enough to block the sidewalk. I don’t know why the trash truck didn’t collect any of it yesterday morning.
Apparently we’re really going to have a spring this year. I looked at weather.com this morning, and the high temperatures keep going up, but the lows stay right around the mid-40s. This week: 52/44, next week: 64/44. I wonder how the maple syrup season is (was?)?
Silly me, I wore a spring shirt today, and my arms are cold.

Date: 2006-04-21 03:31 pm (UTC)I'm waiting for our new composter and the frame for our raised garden to arrive so we can move the seedlings outdoors.
Still want to meet me after my haircut in brookline tomorrow? We can go out to DSW in Natick for shoes and hit the local stores for jeans while we're there. (I might give in and get another pair of the comfortable jeans I got at walmart. I've been putting them on the minute they come out of the laundry for most of the past 2 weeks. The other pair I got at the same time seems to be a bit too old-fart style. I'll wear them for gardening and stuff but don't seem to be dying to wear them every day.
