Tonight I forgot to come in out of the rain. If I come down with pneumonia tomorrow, it's my own fault.

I went to see Project Bandaloop at the Shubert. Their last two pieces were done outdoors, on the side of the Charles Street parking garage. I was standing there in the pouring rain with an umbrella in one hand, but it didn't occur to me to open and get under the umbrella because I was so caught up in watching these crazy people.

Unlike Cirque du Soleil, which I watch and say "How the hell do they DO that?", I know how Project Bandaloop does that, because I know the gear. Not only that, I know that I could do a couple of the moves I saw tonight if I got strong enough. What I don't know is how they counterbalance each other when they've got one person on each end of a rope and both of them are hanging in midair.

Really impressive stuff.
