in which my brain ties knots in itself

Nothing is ever simple, and I can prove it.
The copy shop we usually use was closed on Monday, like anybody sensible would have done. We had to fall back on Kinko's, which is expensive, so we don't use them much. We have an account number, which I gave them, which was supposed to make everything copacetic.
This morning Kinko's called us and said they had the order ready, but they needed a delivery address and method of payment. Hmm, says I, calls them back and gives them the account number and the address.
Just now they called back and said that the account was invalid, so they're basically holding my SOP packets until we can figure out how to pay them. I need to get these packets out today before 4:00, which means I need them here before 2:30ish. The reason I need an hour and a half to get them sent is because two of them have pages I need to replace before I send them out, and a third might need half of itself replaced before I send it out, as of this morning (I don't have the new version of what I'm supposed to replace, yet, either).
(Twenty minutes later) It took three phone calls (fortunately I wasn't the one making the phone calls), but the packets have been paid for and should be showing up soon. I really want to get them out of here ASAP because the courier service gripes at me if I call them after 4:00 with a list this long.
Oh, and did I mention that two of the SOP members who said they'd sponsor promotions are suddenly going to be out of the country next week, so I have to find replacements?
Some days I swear it doesn't pay me to get out of bed (except it was too hot to stay in bed this morning anyway).
