Wow, did I get a lot done this weekend.

On Saturday, I got up and felt a cleaning fit coming on. I could have spent the afternoon with friends in Marshfield, but I decided that if I went out and the apartment was in the same state of (lack of) cleanliness it had been in when I came back, I was going to be miserable. So, I:

Changed the litterbox. This necessitated going out to get more kitty litter in a hurry, so I trotted off to the pet store, thinking I would get a 25-lb. bag and we'd be all set. The pet store, of course, had no 25-lb. bags and one (count it, one) 50-lb. bag, which I hauled home on the train. My shoulders didn't forgive me for that one until this morning.

After changing the litterbox, I did the dishes, thereby rediscovering the sink, the stove and the counter.

After doing the dishes, I had lunch, and put in a load of laundry. After putting the laundry in the dryer, I took my comforter up to the laundromat and washed that. I've been spoiled rotten by having a washing machine in my kitchen.

When I got home from the laundromat, I swapped the domestic laundry around, and in the course of putting away all the blankets I'd been using in lieu of the comforter, I cleaned out my closet. I was going to go to the grocery store, too, but I decided three separate trips out on errands would be one too many.

Yesterday I didn't do anything productive. I finished putting in the border of the Celtic banner I'm embroidering, so now all I have to do is details in the border itself. I also spent obscene amounts of time sort-of-watching Dune on the SciFi channel (shame on me). Isn't anybody ever going to make a decent film edition of that book?

Today, here I am, at work again. If I had a nickel for everything I've ever gotten with "ASAP" written on it, I'd be able to go out for lunch a lot more than I do now.

Edit: I forgot, I also cut my bangs on Saturday. With help provided by two of the three cats.

Dear sir or madam,

Due to the inordinated number of requests marked "ASAP", there will now be a charge for rush orders of 10 cents, either in U.S. tender, chocolate, chicken fat, or love.

Thank you for your attention in this matter,

Molly.

I don't know what I'd do with that much chicken fat, and I really don't want love from the people I work with. I'll settle for respect.
