We've been trying to have a staff meeting since Friday, and it hasn't happened yet. I wish it would, because there are things I need answers for, and I can't seem to get ahold of the right people at the right time lately.

I somehow managed to forget the existence of next week. I thought I was going on vacation next week, but I'm actually on vacation the week after next. (And I thought it was bad last week, when I thought Wednesday was Friday...)

I managed to lose a contact lens yesterday morning, somewhere in between putting it on my finger and sticking it on my eyeball. I found it last night stuck to the top of the lens-cleaning cup, and I have no idea whatsoever how it got there.

Apparently Civ is following the same rules as Star Trek movies: even-numbered ones don't suck. Civ IV is much less annoying than Civ III. Since Civ is a computer application, I wonder if it will follow the time-honored tradition of version 6 of any given software being awful. (Version 6 of Word, and Adobe Reader, and possibly Photoshop but I don't remember, were all awful.)

Why has it taken me an hour to type this? (Oh, right, because I'm doing actual work with the other hand, that's why.)

I think CivIV, even if I can't use my spies to buy all the enemies cities, and therefore, actually need to build a standing army.

It was Photoshop 5.0 that sucked.
