Tuesday, with hobnailed boots on
Sep. 12th, 2006 10:19 amThere's something screwy going on with my left ankle. It probably has to do with running after the bus last night (I missed it by four feet, from the front; he had to know I was there, and took off anyway. I am not inconspicuous when I'm running up the street carrying the trombone.). Mutter grumble fizz...I wouldn't mind so much if there was anything like a reliable interval between buses. If I knew when the next one would be along, that's one thing. But it's eight minutes, or 20, or half an hour, and you can never tell.
Anyway, I got a workout hiking up to Brookline Village (I ended up being only five minutes late, but I think that's how I hurt my ankle), and had a pretty decent lesson after I got my breath back. Apparently trombone playing is one of those things I do better when I'm not thinking so hard about it.
Between National Malaise Day yesterday and the running around involved with the rest of this week, it feels like it should be Thursday, but it isn't.
