Saturday: Hillary and I walked to Harvard Square in the morning, since it wasn't raining. It's about an hour's walk from our house, and it's a pretty nice walk with the exception of the Western Ave/North Harvard St intersection. Anyway, we got to Harvard Square around lunchtime, had a bagel sandwich apiece, and wandered around doing miscellaneous errands. At 2:00 we met a friend and took some digital-camera pictures of various places, since Hillary is going to do artwork for a poster for said friend's gaming group and they wanted the background to be Harvard Square.

After the photo session, we all went back to Davis Square and spent the afternoon and evening watching anime. We watched 4 episodes of Vampire Princess Miyu, which is surprisingly slow for having vampires in it, and after that we watched 5 episodes of Hellsing, which is surprisingly silly for having vampires in it. In between series we had dinner. It's sort of too bad I live on the other side of the river, since Redbones has a takeout menu. YUM.

Anyway, we got home at about 11:00, at which point it was pouring rain. Hillary had forgotten her keys, but I had mine, so it all worked out in the end. The cats thought we had abandoned them forever, apparently, because they were all about being in my line of sight for about half an hour.

Sunday: woke up knowing I hadn't had enough sleep, but couldn't get back to it. Got up, took shower, hung around waiting for the phone to ring with arrangements to return Hillary's keys. Got most of the way through one of the books I had bought on Saturday. Hillary's keys showed up in the company of the people whose apartment they'd been left in at about lunchtime, and she went off to see about helping Liz get files off the resurrected dead laptop Liz had been tinkering with.

At about 2:00, Liz and Hillary came back to get me and we all went off to two grocery stores and the pet store (for kitty litter). The plan was that we would go home, put away groceries, Hillary would finish her taxes, and then we'd go back to Liz's for dinner. It would have been a marvelous plan except that I fell asleep while Hillary did her taxes, so she went back to Liz's for dinner and I had dinner, took a bath and went to bed. Or I tried, anyway. Around about 8:00 I was lying in bed reading, and I heard *clunk* *thud* *lots of falling water*. The cats had gotten on the table, where they know damn well they aren't allowed, and had knocked over the vase of irises I had bought at the grocery store. So I spent about fifteen minutes swearing at cats and mopping up water, and went back to bed.

This morning I got up (after having a dream in which Kent State rejected me) and discovered that since I had left the paper towels on one of the kitchen chairs, the cats had paved the entire kitchen floor with paper towels. Grr, argh. A splendid start to a snowy Monday. I hope the rest of the week gets better.

You could have been mopping up broken glass, flowers, and bloody kitty bits!

There is that. At least it's a blue vase, so if it got broken I'd be able to find the bits before I stepped on them. And in the long run, I suppose picking up about half of a roll of paper towels is less annoying than trying to re-wind half a roll of toilet paper (been there, done that, too).
