Back in September or October or whenever it was, when I finally got rid of the mice, I cleaned the living daylights out of my apartment. A week later I got a note from the landlady saying there was a smell coming from my apartment, which I hadn't noticed at all. I took out the trash and poured bleach down the garbage disposal and that seemed to be that. (And honestly, I can't think of what in here could smell that bad a week after I've cleaned everything in sight.)

Apparently the smell is back, and I still can't smell it, and now I'm paranoid because if I can't smell it, how do I know it's not something in here? And if it is in here, how do I find out what it is?

ARGH.

Well if it's the garbage disposal you could mitigate the problem over time by tossing any left over citrus rinds down the thing. I used to know a couple who tossed half a lemon down the sucker ever week.

Odd thing was, it was the only reason they every bought lemons.
