On Friday I got voicemail at home from Kent State, saying they had only gotten one of my letters of recommendation. I applied reminders in the appropriate directions. In the Reading Way Too Much Into It category, I wonder if the fact that they bothered to tell me this in the first place means that they're going to accept me contingent on the letters? Sigh.

The weekend was nice, although it was WAY too short. I decided to make spaghetti sauce on Saturday, and since we were having another anime fest anyway, I fed people spaghetti and meatballs for dinner, and key lime pie for dessert. Good stuff.

Yesterday I didn't really wake up until about noon or thereabouts, and it took me until about 1:30 to get dressed completely. After that I was a lazy bum all afternoon and sat around embroidering and providing a lap for various cats to sprawl on. Around dinnertime Liz and Matt showed up and, after much indecision on most people's parts, we went off to Tsunami and had sushi for dinner. I still don't like squid (we got a random piece of squid nigiri that we didn't order).

Today, here I am, at work. Hillary is taking today and tomorrow off, so she's going to meet me here for lunch, which is nifty. It seems that everyone but me is taking Friday off, either for reasons of religion or because everybody else is taking it. Maybe I can sneak out early.

OK, time to go e-mail out the key lime pie recipe to those who have asked for it. Anyone else

If a really competitive university calls you to tell you your application isn't complete, it's a good sign.

I think it's a good sign that they contacted you.

As for the pie, best Key Lime Pie I ever had. I will be trying the recipe in the near future.
