My parents' house has a sun porch, which we call the eating porch because in the summer we used to move the dining room table out there. Anyway, right outside the eating porch is a mountain laurel bush, and in the mountain laurel bush is a robin's nest. I suspect it's harder to see from the front of the bush than it is from the porch. Last year there was a nest there too, but none of the eggs hatched. My mother has been sending me periodic updates, and apparently one of this year's eggs hatched this morning. It will be flying day for that baby bird in two weeks. I think that's nifty.
