Work-wise, this week has been an absolute disaster from one end to the other. Lessons learned: the division of labor we've got now isn't working, and it's breaking the processes that worked just fine when I was the only one doing them. Unfortunately I can't be the only one doing them any more because there aren't enough hours in the day. We need a division of labor that makes sense, and we need to stop adding fripperies to the processes that used to work perfectly well.
I know it's gotten ridiculous, because I declared lunchtime at 2:30 and my brain shut down. I spent 15 minutes of the next hour asleep. I do not sleep at work. Ever.
Having said that, after the Great Reshuffle that will go on after the renovations in the former Admissions office get done, I was offered a shared office in OFA. I could use the elbow room and paperwork space; I've got paper piled up everywhere. K needs elbow room and paperwork space more than I do, though, and I said so. We shall see.
