hysteria and other good stuff

dchenesI splurged and went to see Ratatouille tonight. I recommend it to anybody who can deal with the idea of rats, and anybody who can't deal with rats should go for the short at the beginning. I haven't laughed that hard in ages.
I also went to the doctor today, and while I was right about there being fluid in my right ear, most of its problem was excess wax. Problem solved in ten minutes, and everything was VERY LOUD for about ten minutes after it got remedied. The remedy that didn't work was Advil cold pills; I tried them last night to see if the sinus decongestant would help. It didn't, but it did give me quite a case of insomnia. That also explains the broken night I had before Pepere's funeral. I hate not sleeping, so I think I won't bother keeping the rest of the pills.
The office party was fun, and as usual there was way too much food by several orders of magnitude. We've all been informed several times that the leftovers will be lunch on Monday, and this is one of those categories of leftovers with which we can feed anybody who comes within six feet of our office (including the FedEx man and the guy who empties the confidential trash bin on Mondays).
The insomnia and the laughing fit are catching up with me and making me tired. I think I'll go do something about that.
