Apparently I have an open mental channel to somebody who uses it to read my mind on occasion.

Anybody who can think of a good reason why I shouldn't take Thursday off to go do something absolutely spontaneous in New Hampshire (and yes, whuffle, that does mean what you think it means), speak before tomorrow morning or wave goodbye on Thursday morning.

[EDIT: Someday somebody's going to have to explain to me how everybody else in the office manages to get the same days off I want before I know I want them. Too many people are already taking Thursday off; I was offered Monday, which might work.]

I'm running away from home for an afternoon to go see a friend of mine. This is the same friend who got me to run away from grad school to New York for a weekend.
