Bazz fazz. I knew I shoulda just bought an AirPort and had done with it. I didn't; I bought a LinkSys router, which is giving me fits. It got as far as connecting me to the router settings web page, and then quit, and now won't talk to my computer any more and won't listen when I try to get the computer to talk to it.

mutter grumble technology mutter mutter...oh well. At least I got everything else done that I wanted to get done today.

Sadly, I just made the same mistake myself. I ordered a Linksys router (and some other stuff) online, which is currently sitting at my Mom's (while I'm in NJ). But about a day after I ordered it, I realized I'd rather just spring the extra $100+ for the AirPort Extreme. Not sure if I want to bother with the return-by-mail or not. :-(

(Later that day:) Bought the Airport Extreme. :-) Now I just gotta figure out what to do with my LinkSys. (Probably I'll ask if anyone local is interested, otherwise ship it back.)

My next credit card bill is going to shatter my previous personal record. I better do a good job at my new job. :-)
