The blue rug wins, now that I've slept on the decision. I can't afford to buy both, since I need an 8' x 11' rug for the living room.

I didn't sleep quite as much as I'd like, because Lily cornered a transient mouse under the living room bookcase. She spent most of the time between 5:30 and 8:00 this morning behind the bookcase, staring at the gap between the back and the floor. I was slightly worried when she didn't appear until after I got out of the shower. Hurrah for the Mighty Hunter. I wish she had caught and killed the mouse, but on the other hand, I don't think I'd like waking up to her idea of breakfast in bed.

It decided to be spring this morning. I love weather like that, but having it at the end of November isn't necessarily a good thing. (Which reminds me, I need two more compact fluorescent light bulbs for dimmer switches.)

I'm socking it to my credit card balance something fierce. It's about time, and I'm probably getting more satisfaction out of it than it merits considering how much student loan debt I've got, but I don't care. I'm going to keep right on having fun watching the balance go down. So there.

Here here for her not deciding to offer "breakfast in bed". Want to join me for a little banana split outing one of these days?

I'm all for banana splits, myself.

I suppose if you look at it from Lily's point of view, I'm a hopeless mouser, and who knows what I'm living on, so she has to make sure I get a decent breakfast once in a while.
