dchenesIn the "why didn't I just do this in the first place?" category, I now have an AirPort Express, and it's got the happy little green light lit up, and it appears to be working. I feel SO much better.
I also have embroidery floss and kitty litter and a bit of a dilemma as to which of three Spanish-style samplers will be my next big embroidery project, and what colors it's going to be. The examples are in either two colors of red or two colors of blue on white/cream linen, and they're pretty and all, but I'm not sold on either existing color scheme.
Since it's warm out and it seems to be done raining, I opened Lily's favorite window. Fortunately she seems to have enough sense not to hurl herself through the screen trying to get at the sparrow convention in the pine tree (which is why that's her favorite window). I expressly told her not to fall out the window when I went off running errands, and she seems to have listened to me.
I should go and vacuum the rugs,clean the kitchen, oil the butcher block tops, do laundry, cook chicken, do dishes and figure out what goes with quinoa and chicken-and-apple sausages, but right this instant minute I'm happy not doing any of that stuff.
I think the person who replaced my watchband two weeks ago put the new one on upside down. The strap with the buckle on it is now on the bottom of the watch, and I don't think that's how it used to be. Every time I go to put my watch on, I think "wait a minute, this isn't right, is it?" (Well, no, it isn't, because it's a silver-colored watch with a gold-colored buckle on the band, but that's what there was on offer for watchbands and I was going crazy looking at my wrist when I wanted to know what time it was.)
