I leave for the bus stop at 7:55 in the morning. At 7:50 this morning, Snip figured out how to open the office door, and climbed out over the gate. After the second time she did that, I let her stay out, because I had to go to work and she obviously wasn't going to stay where I put her. Lily was Not Impressed, but willing to calm down when I inquired about it. I told them not to kill each other while I was gone. I'm hoping I'll find an armed truce when I get home, or at the very least two separate cats hiding in two separate rooms. I know there are more available hiding places than there are cats to hide in them.

Snip isn't supposed to be climbing over things and turning herself into a pretzel at every opportunity yet either, but that's what she's happiest doing. Obviously she didn't read the instructions she came home with.

I wonder if part of what she's allergic to isn't hand sanitizer. That would explain why she always got worse at the shelter. She could very well be allergic to plastic food dishes too, but I know I saw her wash a lot of hand sanitizer off people on Saturday.

Want an extra gate for a while? Let me know if you need to borrow a second (or third) gate to keep the entire doorframe filled if it looks like they didn't have a good day together.

Hey, maybe there's a name for her somewhere in this escapade! Houdini is definitely male but there has to be a good term for a female who climbs where she shouldn't...
