dchenesIt's a good thing this is a short week. Today I put together two different sets of search review materials for the same position at two different hospitals. I sort of hope they go to the same SOP meeting, so everybody else can be confused about which one they're talking about for a change. Then I got to leave work an hour early (yay) to go to the dentist (yay?). Still no cavities, but my ankle is not happy with me because I had to run up Concord Ave. from Harvard Square so as not to be late. Why does getting through Central Square via Mass Ave. always take twice as long as it ought to?
Tomorrow we have an administrative staff meeting, which is sometimes useful but more often a bit of a drag. This one's going to be even worse because we're going to have to talk about how to tighten our belts, budget-wise. I've got all sorts of ideas about not using so much paper, but I have to convince the powers that be that posting password-protected SOP files on a secure web site isn't going to be a Major Security Breach. (Having the hard copies sitting around in somebody's office for a week isn't?)
After that, however, it's Wednesday, and I get to go off elsewhere for a while.
