dchenesI think I might have to invest in a pair of snowshoes of my very own. That rocked.
Okemo's snowshoe trails, when they have any, are over/in/around their golf course. Due to the ice storm and due to it being early in the season, they didn't have any trails groomed, so they rented me the snowshoes and told me I could go anywhere I wanted. So I did, for two and a half hours. I was absolutely the only person out there. I wish I'd remembered to pack my camera, because I saw at least four different animal tracks and I couldn't figure out what one of them was. The other three were squirrel, rabbit and deer. I think the fourth might have been bobcat.
The only problem was that because of the ice over everything, it was a rather loud walk. Every step went CRUNCH.
