what's snoo
Dec. 31st, 2008 01:38 pmIl neige, un peu. (That's a joke, son.) A sand truck came through before it started snowing, but the plows haven't come through yet and everybody I've seen driving doesn't seem to be having any fun at all. I'm going to attempt to shovel every 2-3". The snow isn't that heavy, but I did end up with it in my coat hood and my socks and my pockets.
I guess I'm not burning paper outdoors today, although it would look very dramatic to do it in the snow (particularly since I bought red paper). But the point isn't drama, it's getting rid of these things. I'd rather do it quietly some other time.
The HBs are getting used to the new cat tree, which is tall enough for Lily to sit on top of and bump foreheads with me. She thinks this is great, especially since I got some velcro tape and some industrial carpet and arranged for the platforms not to be quite so slippery.
I can't decide which I want to do: put a new cover on the old futon pad, or put a new pad in the old cover. I need to replace both soonish, but the cover I want is almost the same price as the new pad, so I can't do both at once.
I was right, addiction solitaire is a lot more fun as a computer game than it is with actual cards. Laying out the entire deck gets old in a hurry. Especially when you have cats who think that the thing to do with the laid-out game is sit on it.
