Last night I was reminded that one of my other favorite sorts of music to sing is raise-the-roof gospel. "O Mary Don't You Weep", sung the way we sang it last night (fairly fast and fairly loud, in at least four-part harmony), is absolutely impossible not to grin about and/or chair dance to. I went hunting through iTunes and I can't find a version I like better than the one we sang last night.

It was SOP night, so I left work at 6:45. But it was absolutely gorgeous out by the time I got out, and theoretically it's going to keep being gorgeous for a while.

The Hairy Beasts both need all their front nails cut. Snip still Ain't Havin' That, but I ain't havin' any more of her Ain't Havin' That and I've got the opposable thumbs, so me and a sweatshirt and the nail clippers are going to have a discussion with Snip soonish.

I went to a Revels Pub Sing at Doyle's in JP. It cost me $20 ($15 for admission and $5 for beer), but I definitely had $20 worth of fun with it.
