curses, foiled again...

I had Plans for this week, and the weather seems to be determined not to let me accomplish them. It's too damn hot to go take the huge comforter to the laundromat, and it's almost too damn hot to have any sort of cleaning fit at all, never mind a major one.

When it's this hot, though, I have considerably less issue with having ice cream for breakfast.

Tell me about it! When we got home yesterday at about 5 and my running partner called to cancel, I went upstairs and took a nap for an hour. Then I fell asleep again a couple hours later while putting Hootie to bed!

Lily has about the same opinion of the weather as Echo does. If I hadn't been spending money like water lately, I'd go get an air conditioner for the bedroom.

Speaking of spending money, where on Newbury St. did you go to get knives sharpened? Mine need it VERY badly.

Kitchens Etc is one block down from Deluca's market on Newbury. Their knife sharpener is out of town right now but will be back on Sept 3rd to sharpen knives. We've got 3 little knives that didn't need sharpening so we left the Globals there even though it means being without them for a couple weeks. I bet if you get down there next weekend that you can get yours done too when the guy gets back early september. And it wasn't expensive either.

Want me to keep my eyes open on freecycle for an AC for you? They pop up pretty regularly.
