I think I've figured out why I never end up as much pie crust as I think I ought to. It's because the recipe I use will provide two crusts for a 9" pie, and my favorite pie plate is bigger than that.

File under "hey idiot..." and attempt to remember tomorrow, when making crust for lemon pie.

(In completely unrelated news, I am absolutely not allowed to buy any more smoked garlic cheddar from Trader Joe's. It tastes like garlic bratwurst from the West Side Market in Cleveland, only it's cheese.)

Heh heh heh ... now that I am, like, an adult and stuff (theoretically), once I started making pie crusts, I deliberately made more (sometimes WAY more) than I needed, specifically so I could either eat the leftover scraps raw (LOVE raw pie dough) or make pie crust cookies (LOVE those too). There are certain perks of being an (alleged) adult ...
