I really shouldn't send them both back unwatched, but this is absolutely not the week to have a choice between "No Country for Old Men" and "Love in the Time of Cholera" for Netflix movies. I have no idea what I was thinking when I put them in the queue together.

The reason this is not the week for movies like that is because I have run out of cope at work, and it isn't even Thursday yet. I would be taking the rest of the week off for mental health days if I weren't already taking half of next week off for the ATA conference.

Oof. Yeah, DEFINITELY not a good week for those two. No Country for Old Men is excellent, but not exactly cheerful or uplifting. (Haven't seen the other, but heard it is good.) (On a Javier Bardem kick, or is that just coincidence? He's in both movies. I am a fan. Not because he looks like Jeffrey Dean Morgan, even though he does. He's an excellent actor.) I'm trying to think of a fun movie, and all I'm coming up with is Attack of the Killer Tomatoes II. That's helpful.

Here's hoping today and tomorrow go better. *HUGS*

I don't think it was a conscious Javier Bardem kick, but I can't remember. In any case, I think I'm going to have to switch the queue around, because the next movie after those two? American History X. Not the week for that, either.

Oh, good GRIEF. Having recently seen it for the first time, I think I can safely say: good movie, though quite brutal to watch, and DEFINITELY DEFINITELY not the week for it!

I'm still trying to come up with something light and entertaining, and still coming up short, though my brain is now helpfully suggesting Hell Comes to Frogtown. Thanks, brain.

Does Iron Man count? That's after AHX. If not, I'll skip right down to Kung Fu Panda.

Iron Man! Yes, I think that counts. It is fun, and actiony, and contains a very scenic Robert Downey Jr. (who, coincidentally, also looks like Jeffrey Dean Morgan), often in tank tops. Kung Fu Panda was also a lot of fun. Both highly recommended.
