I'm surviving my first week back at work pretty well. It helped that nothing major exploded while I was gone, because I spent quite a lot of time before I left arranging for things not to explode. (Speaking of things exploding, it was nice of the Iceland volcano, the name of which I cannot spell to save my life, to hold off until this week. I would probably have ended up stuck in Amsterdam otherwise.)

However, it was perhaps not the brightest idea I've ever had to reschedule my March dentist appointment for yesterday. It made for a more stressful week than otherwise, even though it was only a cleaning and x-rays, and I even got away without The Flossing Lecture this time. I still had to take three hours out of the middle of the day to get there, get my teeth cleaned and get back to work again. It shouldn't take nearly an hour to get to Cambridge from Fenway, dammit!

I had mentally divided life into Before India and After India, and now that it's After India, things keep coming up and trying to bite me. The After India list contains things like the dentist, and the wedding (not mine), and the content I owe my web site designer, and major reorganization at work (about which I can't do anything except sit and wait for it to happen).

Good thing I did my taxes in January, because where did April go?
