Made it to Friday, but had a terrible time getting going this morning. I don't know why that is. When I get home tonight, I'm going to turn my brain off for three days. Maybe it will be inclined to turn on again after that.
Generally speaking, I don't want to spend money on iPod games, but I've made two exceptions. One is the Simon's Cat game and the other is called Doodle God. I got so absorbed in it this morning that I almost missed my bus stop. (But explain to me why plankton + bacteria = fish?) I went to go download that last night and it turned into somewhat of a Saga, because the iPod software upgrade took quite a while. But it worked, so now it's all good.
Given that it's supposed to be hot and humid again on Sunday and Monday, anybody wanna bet on how many times Keith Lockhart changes his shirt over the course of the Pops concert? I say at least two. (Anybody know what sort of military aircraft they're opening the festivities with this year?)
Our office is moving next week because the space we're in is being renovated to fit another three or so people into it. I say they should leave us in our temporary space and renovate the space we're moving out of to fit the people who want the temporary space next. In the temporary space, we have a file room and a conference room. We desperately need our own conference room in our permanent space, but apparently giving us one would interfere with "the spatial integrity of the second floor", whatever that means. So we don't get a conference room, and Room Scheduling can keep taking great joy in refusing every request I make to them.
But, it's Friday, and it's nearly lunchtime, and that means I can turn my brain off when I get home. And that is a lovely idea.
