random stuff

dchenesDue to a lack of Civ 5 anywhere I went looking for it, the weekend shook out a little differently than I wanted. However, I did get a lot of decluttering of horizontal surfaces done, and went grocery shopping, and did four loads of laundry, and made an enormous batch of vegetable curry for lunch this week.
Today would have been a lovely day to stay in bed. I thought so last Friday, too, but I didn't do anything about it. I really should have, and then today would have been a personal day and I could have finished the cleaning fit. Today isn't fit for anything else anyway. (Yes, that pun was on purpose.)
I had a very odd, but fascinating, dream last night involving a sunken sailboat from Denmark. It had turned over and sunk and the mast was stuck in the mud, and the crew was still in it. However, when I got down to them, they were perfectly happy to stay there as long as I brought them some post-it notes. The fascinating part was getting down there in the first place, and then somehow being able to raise the ship with one hand and a very long rope. I have no idea what happened to the laws of physics, but it all made sense in the dream, of course.
I wonder if the book I'm supposed to get from Amazon tomorrow will ever actually be published? I pre-ordered it two years ago and it's been put off several times since.
