dchenesSomeday I'll learn that the day we post P&R materials is ALWAYS going to be long, and either bring dinner or buy extra lunch. At least I was home by 9:15 last night. Apparently the universe took pity on me and provided a bus just as I walked up to the corner, and a train just as I walked off the bus.
It was, however, a long day yesterday, and I got home and found that another one of my jade plants had committed suicide. I suspect suicide by cat because the plant was lying under the window, but the pot was halfway across the room. (I have GOT to get some stakes so I can maybe persuade some of the other jade plants to grow straighter. I've been using chopsticks, but they're too short.) Sometimes I wonder what the Hairy Beasts get up to when I'm not there, but I don't care enough to do anything about it.
This weekend commenceth the Cleaning Fit, And This Time I Mean It. Since we have Monday afternoon off (after the office holiday lunch), and since trash day is on Tuesday, I don't even have to get everything done over the weekend. I can do the cleaning up over the weekend and the cleaning out on Monday afternoon. Eureka, a Plan! It always feels good to get rid of stuff that's been sitting around so long it's become scenery.
I'm half confused as to how it got to be 11:15 already, and half confused as to why it isn't lunchtime yet, since I'm starving. At least it's Friday, and at least I can remember that much. (I thought yesterday was Friday, and was mightily displeased when it wasn't.)
