Jun. 13th, 2011 01:27 pmI wish today were a different day. I'm indifferent to it being Monday, but I wish it weren't a cold, cloudy Monday with a 4:30 meeting rescheduled to 5:30. (And I desperately need this meeting, so I'm stuck with it.) And I wish I didn't feel quite so off. I've either got the mildest case of flu ever, or it's a combination of several random things that happens to act like the mildest case of flu ever.
However, good stuff: I bought a huge amount of groceries and pretty much restocked the entire fridge on Saturday, and opening the fridge and finding actual food in it is quite nice. I even cooked myself some breakfast on Sunday morning, and I can't remember the last time I did that. (Some day I have got to figure out how to cook eggs all the way through without scrambling them. I can't stand runny eggs, and scrambling them does cook them all the way through, but sometimes I want an omelet instead of scrambled-eggs-and-stuff.)
Also good: I vacuumed all the rugs, and now I know exactly what's in the office and what parts of it are going out in the trash this week. And it can go out in the trash this week because I won't be running out the door insanely early on trash day. The Hairy Beasts still hate the vacuum cleaner, but I will say they were very cute sitting next to each other on top of the office cat tree and wearing identical shocked expressions.
More good stuff: The brie-and-apple crepe I had for dinner on Saturday absolutely hit the spot. I'm not sure which spot needed it, but whichever one it was, it got what it needed.
Things I shouldn't forget:
Measure bookshelves
Cook broccoli
Buy paper towels
Book #49: Agent Zigzag
Book #50: White Jenna
Book #51: Sister Light, Sister Dark
