I can breathe again (hooray!), but I rescheduled my Sunday voice lesson anyway. I didn't want to have to do that. The thing about only getting a bad cold once a year is, I forget how much having one sucks. I suppose not having a voice lesson leaves me more time to do the vacuuming and fridge-cleaning and grocery shopping and other similar stuff I didn't do last weekend.

This week is not living up to expectations. Besides the fact that it was P&R week and I had Niagara of the Nose for most of it, I also got a jury duty summons on Wednesday. I have to go to Dorchester in March. (Fortunately the 23 bus does go to that courthouse; unfortunately I have to get to Ruggles in order to catch the 23 bus in the first place.)

My phone appears to have a battery-charging problem of some sort or other, which means it might be iPhone time sooner than later. I'm trying to hold off, because apparently Sprint still hasn't solved the slow data problem. On the other hand, all I really want an iPhone for is an app that tells me when I might expect a bus. That can't require that much bandwidth, can it?

A couple of weeks ago I read A Game of Thrones, and now I can't decide whether I want to read the rest of the series that exists so far, or whether I want to wait until it ends and then read it. I've read enough spoilers to know that the questions I want answered still aren't answered as of book 5, and I'm not sure I want to read four more books that won't get there.

The 66 bus comes within walking distance to Ruggles I believe. Might want to look into it.

And the apps that track bus schedules and timing work for Android phones as well as iOS, in case that makes any difference. That said, I'm going to hold out for an iPhone too because I've played with Android and found it clumsy and slow as an OS.
