I have a superpower. I attract phone calls for other people. In Boston it was calls for Vanya, now it’s calls for Richard. Not to mention the woman who calls about once a day and says “Sorry, wrong number” immediately after I say Hello. I wonder if this would be so annoying if these weren’t almost the only calls I get.

Speaking of which, AT&T is going to lose my business if they call me before 8:30 AM again. There it was, 8:15 this morning, and I was sitting in bed putting my contact lenses in, and the phone rings. And it’s a recording from AT&T, simply telling me that I will be receiving a phone bill. I knew that, and I didn’t need to be reminded of it at 8:15 AM, thank you very much. It’s a good thing I was up already.

I fell asleep in my reading yesterday. I guess all that running around wore me out more than I thought. I fell asleep first in my chair, and then I decided if I was going to do that, I might as well not wake up with a crick in my neck, so I got up and went to sleep on my bed, and when I woke up again, it would have been dinnertime if I hadn’t eaten the Monster Burrito from Hell.

One of the stalks of my jade plant has started growing deformed leaves. They're healthy and growing, but they've got chunks out of the edges. All the web sites about jade plants want to talk about brown rot and mites, neither of which are relevant. Anybody else got any ideas?

Enough procrastination. I have 55 minutes to do some more reading before I go to work.

The jade plant is just deforming because it had a system shock when you moved. Mine have doen this before. Sometimes they go back to growing normal and sometimes they just grow diveted leaves from now on. Don't worry unless it starts changing color or getting soft and mushy or wilted.
