People who hate summer seem to hate it because they get to a point where they can't take any more clothes off and they're still hot. I hate winter because I get to a point where I can't put any more clothes on and I'm still cold.

Yesterday I wasn't really dressed for snow. Having stood in as protected a spot as I could while waiting 20 minutes for the bus home, I wasn't soaking wet when I got on the bus, but I was cold. I got home, put on my sweatshirt and my warmest socks and my slippers, and had hot food for dinner. (All of the preceding are things I am grateful for.) Three hours later, I was still cold. I stuck it out for another hour and then ran the hottest bath I could, and it STILL took ten minutes of lying in that before I stopped being cold. By which I mean I started sweating.

And that is why I hate winter. Even when I'm dressed for it, once I get cold I stay that way.

I haven't asked about circulation issues, but nobody has ever told me I should worry about that, either. I'll put it on the list for next time I go to the doctor.

75 in the summer is good. 85 is too hot, but that's because 85 tends to come with 85% humidity.
