Onward and upward. Mom brought me back to Boston today and I introduced her to the marvel that is Trader Joe's. We had brought some of my various groceries to Noank so I wouldn't have to clean out the fridge when I got back, and the fact that you can get tomatoes that taste like tomatoes from TJ's in December was much appreciated (especially since one of our family traditions is BLTs for Christmas lunch). So Mom went back to Noank with some more tomatoes, and some dark chocolate almond bark that I got her and Dad addicted to, and some other odds and ends. As much as I enjoyed being in Noank and not having to do very much, I was ready to come back here and sleep in my own bed. Unfortunately I can't take a real bath for another four weeks. I miss that. But my new slippers arrived today (early, hooray!), so at least I don't have one perpetually cold foot.

I also don't have as much stamina as I'd like. Today after the grocery shopping, I paid all the bills and did some online stuff I meant to do before I had the surgery, and did the dishes, and I think that's enough Doing Things for today. I have to figure out how I'm going to do laundry when I'm not supposed to lift more than ten pounds for another four weeks. Either I make a lot of trips down to the dryer, or I figure out how to drag rather than carry the laundry basket downstairs.

Several hours later: I thought that was enough Doing Things, but then I got into a couple of hours of conversation online with somebody who makes me think a lot, and now I'm beat. That'll teach me.
