First, because I'm supposed to sell at least two tickets and I suck at selling things:

Harvard-Radcliffe Chorus
December 6, 2014, 8:00 pm
Sanders Theater

Rossini: Petite Messe Solennelle, in its original piano, harmonium, and chorus orchestration
Soloists: Deborah Selig, soprano
Caitlin Felsman, mezzo-soprano
Frank Kelley, tenor
David Kravitz, bass

We will also be performing a selection of opera choruses (two by Verdi and one by Rossini).

Tickets will be available from the Harvard Box Office: http://ofa.fas.harvard.edu/boxoffice, OR you can buy them from me---which, financially speaking, is even better for the Chorus. ($20 for adults, $10 for students and seniors.)

Must remember to go to the dermatologist instead of to work tomorrow morning. That's the last huge thing I have to remember before next Wednesday morning, when I have to remember to go to South Station and get on a train. (I should also remember to go rescue the laundry that's been sitting in the dryer since Sunday. The Hairy Beasts have been darting out the door and charging around the back stairwell whenever I do laundry lately, so I've been less thrilled about giving them chances to do that.)

The next huge project at work has landed on me: I seem to be in charge of scheduling interviews for the Director of Student Services. HR emails the candidates and tells them I'll be in touch with them to schedule interviews. Fortunately it's fairly easy, because the candidates are pretty responsive. I've scheduled four people for interviews between Friday and Tuesday, and I only started on this yesterday afternoon. Progress, our most important product. It's nice to have a project that actually has fairly immediate results for once.

Speaking of immediate results, it got cold in a hurry and reminded me that none of my pairs of gloves are any good under 35 degrees. Someday I'll find gloves that work in cold weather and don't make my fingers the size of kielbasi. My leather mittens are good at warm, but terrible at dextrous. This seems to be one of those things to put on the list for the Minister of Convenience, though. According to the internet, there's no such thing as warmth and dexterity at the same time. (Yes, I know the internet isn't always right; however, when sites trying to sell me outdoor gear actually admit that the two things are mutually exclusive, I'm inclined to believe them.) So I have to take one mitten off every time I need to produce keys or ID or similar small objects. There are worse problems to have, though.
