Mar. 30th, 2015 11:14 amThe winner is: rotator cuff. If it doesn't respond to PT, then we do the orthopedist/x-ray/MRI dance. But we start with PT, which means I have to fit that in around Australia. Meanwhile, OW, and grump because I am thoroughly tired of not being able to do some of the things I need to do with that shoulder.
Grump, also, because it's SNOWING again some more. It's not sticking, but the fact that it's snowing at all is highly displeasing.
Let's see, marvelous thing: radishes, cucumbers, sour cream and smoked salt (or dill). And, unrelatedly, apple cake, although it's not so much "apple cake" as "apples sort of pretending to be held together by vaguely cakelike substance". It didn't quite work the way it was supposed to; it was supposed to be a little more cohesive than that, but it's tasty anyway.
Other marvelous thing: I tried on last summer's shorts and they still fit me (in fact, one pair has quit threatening to fall off), so I don't need to run out and try to buy shorts before running off to the airport. I do need to run out and buy about ten colors of greyscale embroidery floss, because I'm taking my next project on the plane with me rather than fit the current one and its 11 x 17 frame into a coach seat. But all I have to do is take my phone, in which is the List, up to Porter Square some evening and that's not that difficult. Even easier if it's a Wednesday.
Speaking of buying things, this weekend I bought a candy thermometer just so I could find out how hot the hot tap water gets. 150, apparently. I can live with that. It's particularly nice for hot baths and when I want to boil water without waiting all night for it. I read somewhere that you're not supposed to start with hot water when you want to cook things in it, but I haven't died of doing that yet.
Yesterday I took a good iPhone picture of Snip sitting in the sun on my bed. Maybe some year I'll figure out how to take consistently good iPhone pictures, but for now I still take better pictures with my camera than I do with my phone.
