dchenesDecisions, decisions. I called the vet who makes house calls, because I want to at least consult with him about how to get rabies shots for the Hairy Beasts without taking Lily on a field trip. Her dental work was in the middle of July and she just decided to let me pick her up and hold her again last week. If I stuff her in a carrier again two weeks from now, we'll go back to "EEK! Put me DOWN! This INSTANT!" until sometime this spring, probably. And I don't want the Pod Person problem in reverse, either. So, house calls it is. But I can't decide whether that's me being a good pet parent, or me chickening out.
Other than that, I'm playing hooky today (with permission; what do they give me personal days for if I don't use them?). I really needed a day to break my brain out of the productive weekday/productive weekend day cycle. So I went window shopping downtown and went grocery shopping for things I want rather than things I need (pesto, and ingredients for cretons, and lunch), and called the vet, and the piece of my brain that's jumping up and down yelling about going out and running useful errands before the weekend can shut right the hell up.
OK, I lied. One more productive thing; I'm going to sit down with the score for the Ode to St. Cecilia and Youtube, and figure out which alto solo I want to audition for next week.
