dchenesRetreat is over with. I got stood up twice, because everybody who cares about the curriculum already knows about it, and everybody who doesn't know never shows up for things like that anyway. And the elevator decided to need repairs yesterday, too, so there was more hiking up and down stairs than there might have been otherwise. But the rest of the day was OK, and now it's over and I can deal with whatever the next thing is.
The immediate next thing appeared to be the headache I woke up with this morning. I don't know if it was post-stress or changing weather or a bit of both, but I threw three Advil and a bottle of green tea at it, and it shut up enough to let me go grocery shopping slowly. I don't have enough energy to go charging off full speed, but I did get there and most of the way back (except for the Comm Ave hill, which I don't walk up unless I absolutely can't avoid it) entirely under my own power and I'm probably unreasonably proud of myself for that. And now I can stop remembering to buy cat food, and start remembering to buy kitty litter. Tomorrow.
