Here I am, back in Ohio...
It was a good weekend. Of course, I didn't get as far with the academic stuff as I wanted to, but I had a couple of very good reasons for that. On the way from Ohio to Connecticut, we stopped off in Brooklyn to pick up a family friend who hadn't been to Thanksgiving with us in two years. We got from Kent to Brooklyn to Noank in 11 hours exactly. Not bad.
Thursday, of course, there was WAY too much food. There were 11 people and five different kinds of pie. Good stuff. And good company, and all that.
Friday night, I went to my 10th high school reunion, and had a lot of fun. I was right; I wouldn't have had as much fun if I had gone to the 5th. This one was good, though, and a lot of the people I had wanted to see were actually there. I wound up talking to the guy I went to my senior prom with until 2:30 Saturday morning. Then I was mostly useless for most of Saturday, because my brain decided I was going to get up at 7:00, so I kept falling asleep all day.
This morning we were on the road at 7:00 and hit Kent at 3:30. Pennsylvania is very long, and (at least today) populated by people who don't think while they drive. But here I am, in one piece, and I still have a paper to write, but it ain't happening today. I can't decide whether I want food first, bath first or nap first. Well, if I go fall asleep in the bathtub, that will settle that.
